If I need a specific length of moulding or stain grade material, why does it cost 20 percent more?

Due to the extra labor and waste in material to select a uniform color or a defect free piece, an additional 20% will be assessed to the lineal foot price whenever this service is requested.

What type of wood does Driwood use to make mouldings?

All moulding prices are based on kiln-dried poplar wood.

What if I would like to specify a different type of wood for my moulding order?

Quotations on other woods, i.e. mahogany, oak, cherry, walnut, etc. are available upon request.

How will my order be packaged for shipping?

All orders are shipped in random lengths (6’ to 16’ feet), unassembled, average being approximately 12’ feet. Shorter lengths are usually applicable to UPS orders and ceiling cornices usually longer.

Will furring strips be included in my order?

Furring strips are not included in assembly prices.

If I order casings in specified lengths will there be an additional charge?

Casings can be shipped in specified lengths without additional charges, provided headers and legs are itemized at the time of the order.

Do you provide any specified lengths on any other mouldings except casings without a 20 percent upcharge?

We do not provide specified lengths on any other mouldings without a 20 percent specified length charge.

I am planning to stain my mouldings. Does that make a difference in placing my order?

Please let us know if painting or staining. If you require a stain-grade, due to the extra labor and waste in material to select a uniform color or a defect free piece, an additional 20% will be assessed to the lineal foot price whenever this service is requested.

Will my order be preassembled?

All mouldings are shipped unassembled.

What size and weight will my order be?

Normal bundles average 60 pounds in weight and are up to 16 feet long.

How long will it take to ship my order?

Shipping for stock moulding takes approximately one to two weeks from our plant in Florence, SC. Shipping time for special items will be noted when quoted.

How will my order be shipped?

All orders are shipped either by common carrier (truck) and arranged by Driwood, or if the order is 8’ and shorter by parcel delivery.

How will my shipping cost be determined?

All freight charges are based on weight and will be determined at the time of shipment. The customer will be notified of the shipping charges before shipping.

Do you provide free samples?

We offer unassembled stock moulding samples free of charge upon request.

Returns (1)

What is your return policy if I need to return an order?

Prior permission must be obtained to return materials. There will be a 15% restocking fee and all materials must be returned to our plant, freight prepaid, no later than 90 days from date of purchase.

Warranty (1)

What type of warranty covers Driwood products?

Driwood Moulding Company, Inc. warrants that its products, as defined by the AWI (Architectural Woodwork Institute), will be free from manufacturing defects which would render them unserviceable or unfit for normal, recommended use for a period of (90) days from the date of manufacture. Driwood Moulding Company shall have no liability under this warranty unless such woodwork has been handled, stored, finished, installed, and maintained in accordance with (1) established building practices, (2) the standards of the Architectural Woodwork Institute and (3) have only been subjected to normal use.

Natural variations in the color or texture of wood are not deemed to be defects. Warp and/or shrinkage/expansion of material in excess of AWI standards will not be deemed a defect unless all the above criteria have been accomplished.

Driwood Moulding Company shall have no liability nor provide warranties for products used in an exterior application or are exposed to uncontrolled humidity and/or temperature.

Driwood Moulding Company shall have no liability under this warranty for items manufactured or furnished by any other party and such items are subject to the original manufacture’s/supplier’s warranty. The provisions of this warranty only apply to the physical products manufactured by Driwood Moulding Company.

Should an item of Driwood Moulding Company be found by our authorized representatives to be defective within the meaning of this warranty, Driwood Moulding Company at its sole discretion may either (A) repair said item, (B) replace said item with identical new woodwork in the same stage of fitting and/or finishing as was originally supplied by Driwood Moulding Company or (C) issue a sales credit not to exceed the original price of the item to be used against future purchases. Furthermore, Driwood Moulding Company shall have no liability under this warranty for removal of the defective item nor refinishing, repainting or installation of repaired/replaced items.
